Barry's reviews are exceptional, however, as a previous customer, I know that they require you to leave a review before you walk out the door. Here's the thing, the reviews are quite misleading. I found my dream car at Barry's Automotive after the first big snowstorm back in December. I needed something that would handle snow. I drove down to Newport from Massachusetts to test drive this vehicle and potentially purchase it. I noticed that the vehicle had a few concerning symptoms during my test drive, the manager reassured me it was due to it sitting as well as the V8 engine the vehicle has a 6-cylinder engine. Pay close attention to the charges they add to your financed amount as they will sneak in extended warranties that you don't agree to and then act as though you're a remorseful customer when you attempt to get a refund for the additional charges. My salesman was great, however, the managers at Barry's are extremely unprofessional and could care less about your concerns unless you're a squeaky wheel. Some of my concerns were eventually rectified but it was a hassle and not something you expect when purchasing a vehicle. I hate to be the person that leaves a bad review because I know during these times family owned businesses are struggling however, customers need transparency and professionalism and Barry's cannot provide that across the board, for every individual that walks through their door. I would not recommend buying your next vehicle from Barry's. |
