Capital One Bank in Lufkin, Texas

I went into the bank to deposit a check that I won in a fishing tournament and was told they would not accept the check. I have been a customer of this bank for over 5 years now and they would not even consider any other options for me to get this handled. This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE and not to mention the teller was very unprofessional as well. I will be taking my business elsewhere due to this incident.. They are terrible, do NOT bank here..

Currently this bank is closed with no indications on when they plan to open. This bank is nothing if not incompetent. I understand Covid has effected all businesses but the fact that this banks solution is to simply close with no prior warning, and no indication on when they plan to reopen should tell you all you need to know on how much they really value their customers. If you do live in Lufkin switch to a local bank where they will value your business and not spit in your mouth.

I have a Capital One 360 account. They will not let me cash a check someone writes me unless the check is from their bank. Neither will they let me deposit a check & keep some cash from it even if I have enough cash in my account to cover it. They asked me to go to another bank & cash the check, then bring the cash back for deposit. If I have to go to another bank then I'll just do business with THAT bank instead of Capital One. No other bank has such a policy.
