Fifth Third Bank & ATM in Chicago, Illinois

They is very unprofessional in this place. I deposited a larger amount money order and cash they money was deposited and someone took the money out before out the account. I also had a teller to question me about my account why I'm depositing so much money in my account the teller Sharonda is very unprofessional she was sharing my account info to the other teller why she was waiting on someone else they need to do something about this branch and worker at this branch because there are to many complaints on this branch nothing done about it and no good management there if was we wouldn't have these many problems.

I agree that this is the most unprofessional bank location. Bankers and tellers are completely incompetent and unprofessional. I dropped by the location during lunch time to transfer my deposit from CD to a checking account. A banker struggled to do the job. She called here and there to figure out how to do it. Forty minutes later, she said she did wrong and should start the process all over again. I couldn't wait any longer because my lunch break was over. She said that I could leave and she will take care of the rest of process and call me in a 30 min. But I did not get her call even after four hours. When I called her using the number on her business card, nobody answered. People are so irresponsible and unprofessional in this place.

Terrible service. Staff was not knowledgeable. They wanted to charge me to cash a fifth third check at fifth third. I would not recommend this place to an enemy. Stay away.

I went here Friday, stood in line for about 15 minutes, the 1st cashier by the door only took certain people, after she took care of one person she kept peeking to see who was in line then when the other cashier called next in line then the 1st one would look over to see if it's someone she wanted to take care of... After standing in line all that time they tell me go sit down someone will call me and after 30 MINUTES that never came... it's a man in the 1st booth and Heavy set Woman in the next.. She was chatting it up the entire time never acknowledged me or the other man sitting with me waiting also and the first guy was taking care of someone.. This bank is so slow and they need to greet their customers and at least say someone will be with you... 45 minutes and still didn't get waited on... I think it was my BROWN SKIN, That's why the first cashier AVOIDED ALL PEOPLE THAT LOOK LIKE ME... MIX YOUR STAFF UP BECAUSE THIS ONE NOT RIGHT...

I went to this bank to deposit cash money to the ATM. For some reason it wouldn't let me deposit cash. I went to the drive thru and asked, the teller. She said, she'll will make a note to have them check. Went to other Fifth-Third ATMs and had same problems. No one can explain why it wouldn't take cash as deposit at the ATM.

I have been a Fifth Third customer for over 20 years. Paying monthly fees as an account holder. The pandemic has caused many discomforts to us all; however, the customer service and authority should have a little more compassion. Speaking specifically of Manager Ms. Gomez. Last month I was denied the right to withdraw money from my debit card Netspend/SSI. I was told by one of the employees that the machine was down. Ms. Gomez thereafter came to the phone and confirmed the employees statement. Today I was told by Ms. Gomez that I would have to make an appointment. First of all, other Fifth Third branches have 1625 W. 18th St. Chicago Illinois 60608 as the bank to do business via drive thru/window. Ms. Gomez ask me what kinda card did I have. This entails discrimination. It should not matter what kinda card I have. Either you do the transaction or you don't . This is in violation of the ADA. Americans with disability act. This is also racial discrimination and racial profiling. Ms. Gomez felt adamant about her position and confident in what she was saying. This is also a predominant Hispanic area. I will also request a reimbursement for the last to months for denied services. I will also complain via other sites and the corporate in this matter. finally, I told Ms. Gomez my intent. Giving her plenty opportunity to make it right. This is something she felt confident and content in doing. So lets see how it works for you Ms. Gomez.Thank you for reading. Have a great day.

My 'go to' fifth third branch.

Probably the worst customer service I have ever received from a bank. I was there on Saturday trying to open a new business account and was greeted by the teller to sit down and wait. There was only one banker there. Her name is Isabel Lopez. She was with another customer so we understand the wait. However after waiting for 30 minutes she all the sudden started to help a customer that come in after us. No explanation was given until I asked why the other customer was helped first. She said it was a quick thing so she helped her first. I don't care how quick of a request they just need to wait in line. Do you cut in line in the grocery shop just because you have less items than the person in front of you? She also told me they don't do new account open that day. Then why would the teller greeted us and asked us to sit down and wait? This was an extremely poor experience not because I just wasted 30 minutes of my life, but also disappointed on how Fifth Third bank service their client. Fifth Third should just close this branch. It is not helping their business and reputation as a bank.

This branch is awesome! Metal detectors are kinda lame but better to be safe than sorry in my opinion. Don and Antoine were awesome and helped me fix my credit thanks guys.

The girls working there are not only pretty but also very friendly and welcoming. Pleasant experience every time I go.

Best branch for fifth third bank I've ever been to the teller are remarkable they are efficient and quick.. even when the banker is busy they help you in anyway possible. I recommend this bank to anyone especially since they will be making more branches soon. By far this us the best branch I've have visited and the one I will always go to :

This bank has been amazing to people and me the person who have it 1 start is not very smart, probably got a complain and just said what ever because If I am not mistaken they pretty much do everything she says.

This is my favorite fifth third bank location. Everyone is always very nice and helpful right when you walk in. Lily takes care of my transactions quickly, and takes time to ask about my family all the time. The manager, Jeremy Benberry is the best person to have leading that branch. He helps small business owners like myself and treats everyone fairly no matter how big or small their accounts may be. Good job to everybody there.

The tellers are very helpful and I do feel welcomed every visit I am there very kind and ready to help you with anything......but the only thing that I don't like is I been going to this bank for nearly two years and every time I deposit a check in the atm with the same employer for The two years I get a 10 day hold like I have time to wait 10 more days to get paid hopefully fifth third changes that soon cause it is a hassle that why I put the 4 stars but besides that the employees are awesome as always my only complaint is against fifth third not the employees that work there . The branch manager J. McCarthy was extremely helpful, personable, and service-oriented with my mother's banking needs. Ms. McCarthy waited for us to come to the branch, and followed up with a call after we left the bank. She's fantastic!!!

never waited as long to see a personal banker in my life for a buisness owner to wait 20 min and am now walking out this is not a place that cares if they inconvenience you.

Always friendly

While this is the closest location to me, I try to avoid it. There's a lady in here that is not nice. Each time she provides service to me, she doesn't make me feel welcome. I feel racially profiled here which is far different from other locations.

I had went in to the bank earlier today to get some help opening an account. It is unfortunate to see that although the covid cases are rising rapidly, the manager of this branch decided that it was alright to take off his mask repeatedly while there were customers in the bank. He is not following the illinois covid-19 guidelines at all therefore I will not be visiting this bank again.

So I first door that leads you to the ATM when the bank is closed was broken for months there was a lady sleeping in there everyday saying that this is my spot then she threatened me with a knife saying that if I don't leave this is going to stab me I called the cops now it's little fixing the door they decide to close the all together so no one can get in and you have to use the ATM in the back in the Drive-Thru guess who's waiting out there to bother me yeah y'all need to fix your s because if something happened to me I'm suing you

Great customer service. The fifth third team went out of their way multiple times to assist me. They are always very friendly and positive!

Unbelievably AWFUL customer service, especially for someone who just moved next door, paid a 3.50 ATM fee and needed 4 10s for 2 20 bills to tip my movers. What a welcoming to the neighborhood. Any potential future you had from me as a customer is out. Learn how to accommodate your neighbors, especially when the ask is absolutely reasonable.
