ANGELA CALLOWAY | This a lengthy review, but PLEASE READ. This is a very poor banking system. They will not issue debit cards until after 30 days. You will have to mail a check or give the merchants your banking info and write checks for cash. When they do send your debit card, setting up a pin number isn't immediately. You have to wait for it to be mailed because they do not have a telephone automated system and their banking website doesn't offer that service. Speaking of their website, it's very 'stone age'. Enrolling was a disaster. The system makes you set up a password before your enrollment can be completed. Once approved, the bank emails you a temporary password without warning. So when you try to log on, you end up locking yourself out because you're unaware of the temp password sent. What is the purpose of forcing the customer to set up a password during enrollment???? To be approved, you have to wait until the employees get in because they manually approve it. I had to wait a week. It would've been longer had I not complained. You should be able to access your account immediately after you enroll. Once you do get into your online account, you'll find it less than basic. It looks like a generic graph from Microsoft or Excel. You can only read what's there and it's hardly accurate. This bank does not have a functioning panel like most banks. Your pending transactions are not accounted for until one of the employees get in the office and manually post them. Sometimes they don't get posted for 3 days if you made transactions over the weekend. You can't call for concerns because there's no automated system to help and everyone leaves at 5 pm. You can't trust what's online because you're certain it's inaccurate. You have to drive to the bank and swipe your debit card on an outside ATM if they even gave you a card to get a balance reading. You will find that the balance is very different than what's online. You're screwed. You don't know what you have in your account. You're better off keeping a personal ledger of your own. However, they do not offer ledger books with the checks because you pay them to keep an accurate record of all transactions. 9.95 comes out of your checking account faithfully every month for this service. This bank is operating on a system from the 80's, no exaggeration. This is 2019! Customers should be able to access an accurate account of their funds and info 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, either online or through a telephone automated system. Bank cards should be available for pickup or mailed between 3 to 5 business days. It isn't fair to make a person wait 30 days. Bills are due within that time frame. People are paying bills online. Mailing a check will cause late payments and late fees. Not all merchants will accept electronic checks. Everybody's going paperless. This bank is atrocious and should be shut down until a better system and routine is put into place. |
