Great Western Bank in Omaha, Nebraska

Drive through is very slow. I've been 3 times in the last 4 weeks and have sat for atlesst 15 mins. 1-2 cars in each of 3 lanes, its surprising there is such long wait times.

Getting out over 4 thousand dollars is extremely hard with this bank. I've been here sitting and waiting on my car for over 25mins just to get money and still waiting. The older lady here told me would issue it then had a long delay got another younger girl here and said its gonna be a few minutes then later I called them after running out patience. Then the old lady get back on and ask why I need the money? Is cashier check okay? After she told me that fine. Then have trouble withdrawling. I never ever in my life have i ever experience this . Does not take 34mins to pull ur own money out!!!

I am a small business owner I have been with the bank for ten + years. I applied for a PPP loan they left me hanging for 4 days and by email told me try another bank!

We have been banking with GWB for over 8 years. Very pleased with their staff and service. Will hopefully be with them for many years to come!!!

Great location, multiple services and friendly staff not to mention the ease and savings of their mobile services. Win win.

A teller there took the time to help me set up online banking since im techno-slow, he was great! Im very thankful for the help. Also a young banker helped me set up numerous accounts on the spot, she was so fast and her conversation was fascinating! She is a wonderful human which is soo needed these days. Thank you both for a great experience.

My employer pays me with Great Western Bank checks. They charge me 5 to cash their own checks. Seems like a rip-off considering my employer already pays to have an account with this bank.

Been banking with them over 20 years

Wouldn't take my government issued ID because my face had a smudge on it. Offered to give them my social security card and my birth certificate proof of address proof of residence. Nothing still wouldn't help me. Everybody turns their nose up and I lose my storage unit along with my car insurance which is going to be my license. I can understand if it was 1,000 check. But terrible Bank terrible people no kind of remorse for anybody

I came to cash a a check because I'm low income they declined my check based on my account history. I had update everything. I made a financial mistake over 8 years ago because of that mistake they refused to let me open a savings account. Then they refused to let me open a second checking account. I stood there about to cry. I drove to a different branch and after all that I had already went through they said for the rest of my life. I'm in my mid 20's This bank will never allow me to open any account with them ever. And my two toddlers would need a different adult on the account in order to open up for them. I've never heard of a bank being so hurtful I closed my account and don't have good thoughts about them. So if I ever own my own bank I would never do this to one of my clients. Unless it had to be done because of other reasons.

The team in this branch went over and beyond to make me feel at home. I've had two visits to this branch thus far and have been greeted the moment I stepped inside. I relocated here from a smaller city and I got that same small town personalized customer service that I'm used to. Transitioning my businesses from another state, opening new accounts and updating my records were easy and convinient. A big thanks to Dustin for staying past their closing time to help get my needs sorted out. My experience has given me the confidence that Great Western Bank will continue to provide great service for my banking needs.

Terrible service. Been with this bank for over 4 years and have undergone a lot of problems especially with online banking. One time there were two large deposits in my account. Unfortunately, never heard of either company. After that they took away my online banking which I absolutely have to have to monitor my account. I should have left at that time to another bank. Not the way to run a financial organization. Currently with US Bank.

Never had any issues with rude tellers and I've been coming here for 5 years. Money deposited in your account is immediately available. You can deposit checks up to 2500 right from your phone and most are available the same day. I've banked with several banks over the years and Great Western has been one of the best so far.

Everytime I come here, the ladies working the desks are so polite and friendly. They are really efficient and get you in and out quickly, but they have such a warm and enjoyable presence the entire time you're there. I highly recommend this location.

At least for me, friendly staff and things go well. I have only ever had issues with my address being changed needed to confirm multiple times because it somehow never would go into affect when I moved but I have never had any professional-customer problems. They do the best they can.

Worst Banking Experience of my life, so far. My wife and I went there and my wife has an account not me and we were trying to get some papers. The system was down and you know I know it was not the person in her nice desk fault I am understanding and forgiving. But she was very rude to me. Here I was trying to take care of some errands and help my wife like a responsible person but situation was a bit frustrating. I was not insulting her nor cussing just the slight increase in my tone and she got super defenses, like geezz and like telling me she did not like how I was talking to her. She told me that if I arguing ed again she was ask me to leave. I told her that last time someone was able to help us with it with no problem personally I got the feeling she did not know what we wanted and had no idea what to do but did not was to address it, yet I tried to and was being threatened to be kicked out, however was kicked out. She has no customer service skills and why the in the world is she taking care of serious business when this person has NO SKILL in handling people in a hard situation. She was not helpful at all. PLEASE, stay away from this location, they are terrible rude don't know how to handle people...horrible.

I've banked with GWB for nearly a decade and utilized this branch and other branches throughout Omaha. I've had nothing but good experiences in all my time with this bank. I've made several out of state trips and had no issues utilizing my card with or without prior notification I was going out of State. Additionally, their loss prevention team has prevented several online hackers from taking my money due to conspicuous transactions. I love this bank!

Opened a checking account with them 4 months ago. Wrong type of account was opened. Filled out the paperwork for VIP Checking pays interest. They signed me up for 'Free Checking.' pays no interest. Some of their GW Bank owned ATMs do not take deposits. Not too impressed with the service so far. UPDATE: I closed this checking account and am using another bank now.

Great Western has been absolutely horrible! I have had more than one negative experiences and it is ridiculous. You should be able to trust your bank and they have done nothing to instill that trust for me. Within 2 weeks of opening my bank account with them I deposited my paycheck and they put my ENTIRE paycheck in someone else account! I caught it right away, because I noticed the account number was wrong on my receipt! I didn't realize that was something I would have to worry about! The other major fiasco for me is there is another person with my same name and they can't seem to get our accounts right. I went to get a new debit card and they put it under this other persons account but it was still sent to my address, but it obviously wasn't working when I tried to activate it, because it was under there social. I went in, in person to get it sorted out they explained to me that is what happened and they were going to reissue me a debit card under my account. I figured that would be the last of it but over a month later I still haven't received my debit card. I called last Saturday to ask what the issue was and they looked into it and said that it had been issued but returned. So they reissued it and said I would have it in 3 business days and 7 days later I still do not have it! I am going in tomorrow and this will be the 4th time I have had to ask them to get me a debit card!!! It isn't just this location it is all of them. They are just careless I have had smaller issues at other locations, like them giving me someone elses receipts in the drive through and them freezing my account, because they needed my drivers license info, but they should have had it because you have to give them your drivers license to open the account? Would never ever recommend this branch! I will be closing my account real soon! Absolutely awful! It's completely unacceptable!
