Rich Seslar | A year or so went in to get a personal home equity type loan and was approved. Great...paid off some higher interest loans, but a couple months later my wife goes why is Key taking 10 bucks a month out of your savings? Thought there were no fees on that account. Some how when I got the loan they changed my account to a fee based account. Cost was 30-40 bucks until she caught it. Bad on me for not monitoring the account better. More resently, my wife was asking about a 50 dollar fee on the loan in addition to the interest. I guess I did not read the fine print or forgot because the fee was a yearly fee for having the loan open. Bad on me again. To help end the fees I went in with a few thousand dollars to pay down the loan. Banking agent asked if it was for my CC account, I said no, it's for the personal loan. The CC account has and had a zero balance, so why pay that down. Now my wife is on top of those Keybank statements and she asked why I had paid down the CC account when it was zero and now -. How about I just transfer it to the loan. Oh cant do that unless we want to pay 10 fee for taking cash out of the CC. Not OK, so another trip to the bank, where the teller let's me know that she cant reverse the process and she has to send the request to some other place. I explained that I wanted the money applied to the loan with no transfer fees. So 4 days later I got an update email on the status of the reversal. So a week goes by and I notice that the funds were put into my checking account. Me thinking they would move it to the correct loan as requested and it never did. So I took care of that today. Banks apply interest on a daily basis, they cheated me out of a few weeks of interest charges on top of everything else. |

We shall see how the banks service and the quality of customer service both online and over the phone go. So far though 5 stars. I literally had a 3 minute wait from the time I walked in the door, with no appointment, and was setting up my account with a personal banker. I dealt with "Buzz" Nguyen, "Buzz" set up everything in what seemed to be 20 minutes or so. SUPER FAST, SUPER FRIENDLY IN PERSON BRANCH SERVICE!!! UPDATED: my atm card still hasn't shown up its been overdue. So today I call the 800 and get hung up on instantly, then call 2 went to a woman who refused me a supervisor, she also lied about the timeline, even by her made up timeline the card was, and is still late. Come to find out the guy "buzz" never put the correct mailing address for my card to go to. I even told this man that this new checking account was a test run to see if I was going to use the for merchant banking also. Well, obviously after this I would never do any business with them ever again. this bank was't as bad as the renton bank of america, but it's pretty bad, to send a new atm card to a random address is banking security at it's worst. After the in store helps lack of following through with putting correct information into the system, and the horrible customer phone service, I would give them 0 stars but it won't let me. DON'T EVER BANK HERE!!!!! EVER!!! |

We have to pay our rent with an official bank check so we have been getting that through the drive-thru since March. Today they forced my sister, who is a nurse to go into the lobby for this. When COVID numbers are worse than they have ever been. Basically the teller working today didn't want to do the complicated process through the drive-thru. They're were other customers in the lobby, both elderly, plus the tellers who were all potentially exposed because she didn't want to do it. So irresponsible and frustrating. |
