Old National Bank in Bloomington, Indiana

Over many years Laura Hash has done a superb job of handling trust accounts for me and several members of my family. Her fees are quite reasonable. A real pro and very personable as well.

For general banking this bank is fine, however they were unwilling/unable to open a Miller trust for my mother. They didn't understand the instructions given to them about the trust and refused to help us. IUCU was able to help us get this taken care of.

Run, do not walk from this bank. It has a unique combination of the costs of lack of scale such as no international service and lack of robust ATM networks and the most hideous big bank practices such as hidden fees, and multiplying fees. I had one loan, and paying two days late more than double the payment. For a small, personal service bank People's State Bank is downtown. For a large impersonal bank, with slightly less hideous practices, Chase is also downtown.

Each employee always recognizes me and makes me feel very welcome. I always go to this location, even if it is out of the way. Great staff, very helpfu .

I have used this branch for 9 years now, since it was originally Monroe Bank and when it was merged into Old National Bank. I have found the customer service excellent under both managements they kept several of the original staffers at this branch after the change and the online banking program is superb. The lines are generally short and when I have used the branch to send or receive international payments they were friendly and helpful. All banks require you to have an account to utilize their services, so the person who couldn't get change for his 20 is not really making a valid critique.

i went in there for 20 worth of quarters. everything went well. i cannot attest to the quality of any of their other services though.

I had an account that went dormant. They charged fees on the account until it was negative. Then they charged 10 a day for the balance having done negative -- as a result of their fees. The staff aren't very friendly. And some of the bank tellers even though you're sitting there waiting in line. Didn't really help all that much. This bank just doesn't stand out that much. It's a nice little Old National. It does a decent job at the upkeep. I just wouldn't expect that much from them.

Son signed over a check to us. His father went to cash it. they said no. He said just deposit the check, they said NO. Not sure what the problem was. Wife took it over and they deposited check. This is not the first time I have had problems with the west 3rd street branch. I've left there at times without being able to cash a check, go to the one off winslow and have no problem. They are also very slow.
