People's United Bank in Vernon, Connecticut

Terrible customer service. Lindsey was rude. I asked her if she would count out my withdrawal in front of me, she said no, that's what the money counter machine is for. I told her I had counted out a lower amount and asked if she would recount it with me before I left the teller window. She again said no, there are other customers waiting. While I don't want to inconvenience other customers, I needed to confirm I had the correct amount. What bothered me most about her, was the rolling of the eyes and the dismissive attitude. I felt she could have handled this in a more professional manner.

This 5 stars is for Mary. She was a great help.

I always have a good experience at this branch. While there is no excuse for rudeness, keep in mind banks traditionally pay their tellers very poorly.

Worst bank ever, spend more time on hold listening to push this number or that number. Spent 3 hours on hold trying to get back on my internet account only to find out I have to have a cell phone. Have not been able to access my online account sense April 3. Tried to transfer funds from my checking to pay my mortgage today, Was told there was a 47 minute wait. Sure miss my old bank where they answered the phone! Time to find another HOME town bank. Don't be misled, 2 of the 5 star reviews are for United Bank NOT Peoples United!

It is amazing the horrible customer service received at this location. I'm a customer of over 15 years, thousands of dollars in the bank and today they would not see me because I didn't have an appointment. There were no customers and because everything is now by appointment they couldn't take care of me. I don't do in person banking so I didn't know that is the way the see clients. My issue was that there were no customers. I will be changing banks and the manager Tim Gifford was useless. Try taking a customer service cost.

Great staff, very helpful, and great customer service. But customer volume is far too high after consolidating the tri-city and Stop & Shop branches. Also, the hours are shorter now, which is compressing foot traffic volume per hour. Not sure I've seen a line out the door at a bank before.

Since moving from the closed Tri City Plaza branch which was outstanding this location appears to be constantly understaffed for the business it does and as a result provides painfully slow service.

Absolutely slow.

We have always had a great experience at this bank. We had them prior when the were United Bank, and just recently changed over to People's. We usually work worth Laura C. She assisted up with some larger deposits after our wedding, and assisted with my name change. I had opened a few other accounts today, and even though they had some system trouble, we were able to get the accounts open. Laura had even sent a follow up email, thanking me for my patience today. That was a nice touch! I highly recommend this Bank and Branch for your needs!
