Anastasia Churchill | If it was possible; to give Regions Bank a sub standard star rating, that would be my rating. My family has banked with Regions since before they were even named Regions Bank. I hold multiple accounts with them and was in desperate financial need after being robbed in New Orleans, Louisiana. The perpetrators had my iphone, my bank card, and all the cash I had on me at the time. I went to the Kenner, Louisiana branch and was told they could give me 20.00 of my own money- even though I had the information associated with the account, my social security number, my mailing address, etc AND other credit cards in my name that had been secured at the hotel I was staying at, as well as my vehicle's insurance and registration. I was livid. I told them to cancel my bank card; even provided the last 4 digits of the card, and left to be with my family member who had been hospitalized after the attack. I had forgotten that I DID in fact have my driver's license in a small satchel purse at the hospital. I called the following day to order an expedited bank card, which they said would be received in two business days, and returned to the bank to withdraw cash so we could make it home to Indiana. At that time I was informed that a corporate security hold had been placed on my account because the teller DID NOT cancel my card and the robbers had in fact attempted to use my card many times. As if this wasn't shocking enough; because I had informed the bank that my card was stolen and instructed them to cancel it, I return home and 6 days later I still have no bank card. I have NEVER in all my life been treated so poorly by a financial institution. I would not recommend this bank to my worst enemy let alone anyone I know. |
