TCF Bank in St Paul, Minnesota

This TCF is one of the quickest I've been in when you're able to enter the lobby area.

After the August merger their digital banking has been a mess for about a month. Only customer service is via the phone which for weeks has required hours of waiting on the phone only to talk to a person who can not fix the problem. Then they promise to call back and never do. Have stopped at branches several times and been told the wait times there for help is hours. What a mess, and they isolate themselves so you cannot get help. I have been locked out of an account for going on a month and wasted hours and hours trying to get help and have had no success. TCF, if you are listening please call me. You have my number.

Banking with TCF turned into a nightmare when i moved down to Arizona and was not notified by TCF they closed all their branches in the Phoenix area. I'm attempting to close on a house and need a cashiers check or wire transfer. Neither of which is can do unless I'm in a branch location apparently. You cant reach out to any specific branches to see if they are open or you need to make an appointment, all TCF has is 1 general number to contact for customer service and they know very little. Switching bank immediately.

Glad to see good reviews for this location. The Lexington location was looted and vandalized, the one inside Cub Maplewood E. Is still closed because of Covid, so I've been looking for a convenient location to the places that I go to. My employer has stopped letting people get 2 in quarters. I hope the lobby is open.

I went there to do a dispute on my card, as I had ordered clothing items online and had contacted the seller multiple times with no response and no items with proof. I believe his name was Ahmed came out to help me, he asked me how they got my card I stated I gave them my card information. He said there's nothing I can do for you, you gave them your information I won't even file a dispute you won't get your money back isn't that the point of having a bank. I previously worked at TCF, I literally have a close friend who does bank disputes for another bank. I knew that information was inaccurate and left. I called my friend who does the disputes for another bank and previously worked at TCF she stated to call the 1800 line. I did and they helped me out and apologized. Had I been less informed I wouldn't have. To have someone say to your face you gave them your info and you won't get your money back really is questionable. We use banks as a security for situations as this. I don't know if he didn't want to do his job or what. But I have been thinking of banking elsewhere due to multiple problems but I've had my account since I worked there in 2015 2016 and I'm too lazy to change over. Now that I've heard word from my friend that stated TCF has been out bought Huntington bank I probably will go somewhere else.
