Travis Credit Union in Vacaville, California

I have been using Travis for over a year now and I'm very happy with this credit union. This is the branch i go to and the people are always very helpful.

Tellers were nice, but lady in the cubicle was rude. Was waiting in their lobby but my 1 year old was getting bored so I stood up and calmed her down. Ushar Reddy told us to sit down until we were called, but I told her that my daughter might get bored and start crying. She got mad because we might be getting in the way of people going to their front information desk. Mind you we were the only ones waiting and we were the only clients in the bank. She was rude and had an attitude when she was assisting us. She needs to work on her people skills and communication skills because she sucks at it.

Worst credit union out there when it comes to user friendly. They're system is 3rd world. Impossible to use their pay by phone option and there's an up charge to have someone over the phone submit the payment. Only other option is depositing a check using the mobile app. Can we please get with the times and have a way to pay online using a debit card? So outdated process. Would never Recommend this bank.

Very kind, helpful, and professional employees. The facility is very well kept. The services are thorough and efficient. Much more catering and attentive to my needs than my experiences with big corporation banks.

I joined this Credit Union when I first PCSed into Travis in 1980. I have been with them 40 years. The last 4 to 5 years the service has gone down hill so badly I am thinking about closing the accounts. The IT department at Travis CU leaves a lot to be desired. They do not do real world testing of program before making changes to the system. I tried to call today to tell them that when I have to verify information, the program asks questions about my fathers information. I have been on hold 32 minutes waiting for a person to connect me to the compliance department so I can put a complaint in. I will be going to the regulatory agencies that overseas credit unions to put a complain in against Travis CU.

I have been a customer since the 1970s when the credit union was only one branch at Travis AFB. Over the years I have noticed the decline in service and their problematic programs and software. I have an account at the Navy federal a very strongly considering leaving Travis Credit Union for good. Competency is questionable.

At first loved this credit union ... Until I deposited a large sum of money the money was cleared two days later, when I went to pull it out it was a hold put on my sum of money have to wait 9 days, called in over 20 times even had the company who issued me the check call with me on the phone , we waited over a hour and thrity mins just to be told we have to submit a letter,when we was told that we could have them call in then I asked if a certain amount can be released because I had bill to pay since it was the first of the month , and I had and available balance of over 1000, 00 dollars was told they couldn't do it when it was already available before I wanted to pull a lump sum out.

So someone I know dropped their wallet at a bank and the lady who found it, called the bank and said she would turn it in to that location the following Monday. We go to the bank on Monday and they were closed? No reasoning, only a sign that says they were temporarily closed. Also it is impossible to actually call into a specific location so we have to drive around to every bank in the area to see if it was turned in elsewhere. Because this location told the lady to turn the wallet into this specific location on this day. Just to be closed. Don't waste your time also another located we waited at for 45 minutes to get a card printed when they told us it wasn't working we told them we could go to another bank but swore up and down that they would get it to work. It did not work. And they couldn't have a card mailed.

I got Travis when I turned 18 because my parents switched and I was very impressionable. Recently Five years later, I moved out-of-state and needed to close out my accounts because there were no Travis Credit Unions where I was going. I went to this branch and was “helped” by Meganne who was intent to mislead me in every step of closing out my credit card. When I asked questions she was offended to even have to take the time to give me an answer that could help me. With vague instructions on how to make a final payment and close out my account I left frustrated and called customer service. I was given a little more information and came back at the end of the week to pay off my credit card, in exact change, like I was instructed and then received attitude when I BROUGHT EXACT CHANGE because clearly I was already to know that their machine didn't process change. Finally I payed everything off and signed a form saying that my account was filing to be closed. Fast-forward three months later while I am living in another state and I get an e-mail from Travis saying that they are charging me a late fee for my credit card that I thought had already been closed. Apparently an old subscription charged my credit card that an employee at Travis had cut with scissors in front of me three months prior. On top of that when I called about this charge to a credit card no one notified me had not been closed I was informed that because I am no longer physically able to step into a branch I will be charged a service fee for cancelling my credit card over the phone. If you want a company that lies to you and has awful customer service this is the place you are looking for.

Basic but effective place. I like going here to turn in my checks, no lines or waiting since barely anyone goes here and the machines work good for me. Employees are usually always available too if you ever need help. Personally I never needed help so if you just want to independently deposit checks or money then this is the place for you.
