He continued his rude behavior throughout my visit. I had not planned to go into the bank but the automatic teller was not accepting checks for deposit so I had no choice. We've been customers here for 30 years and have never been treated so rudely! I understand the COVID thing but kindness in making requests to customers is still expected. Remove your "Friendliest Bank" statement. You're not worthy of it. |

I originally gave this bank 5 stars, but after yesterday and what I witnessed when it came to an elderly gentleman, I have now gave this bank a 1 star. I used to love this bank. I understand the precautions business have to take when it comes ti Covid, but this bank is taking it to the next level. Bank lobbies are all open for business, but this bank locks you out, and keeps you from going inside unless you have an appointment. I called the bank to make said appointment, I was on hold for over an hour! I live 3 minutes from the bank, so opted to drive and stand at the door. When the door opened a crack, I explained my business, which the ATM can not handle. Then what happened when the bank employee with the 70+ gentleman boiled my blood. I think Umpqua cooperate needs to educate their employees, that what they are doing, by locking customers out is NOT A LAW! Also, I need to mention, the once friendliness of the employees of this bank, has been replaced by short, semi rude disrespect. The atmosphere is heavy & not friendly at all. I will be considering changing banks, to a credit union. |
