Brady Bell | Extremely disappointed with the service received. I started banking with them when I was about 10 years old. Upon becoming an adult I switched banks but kept some money in Westmark just to keep an account there. Three years later I come to find out I've been being charged 5/month on checking and savings for them being inactive and pretty much drained all accounts to 0. I was never notified via mail, email, or phone that an inactive account would accrue charges and apparently they signed me up for paperless billing at some point so all statements were going right to junk mail. When requesting a refund on the charges I was simply told no by the Rigby manager Aaron. He did refund 3 months, but not close to what was charged. Upon bringing up that I was never notified of the inactive account charges he mentioned it was in my "account agreement". Obviously I was 10 when creating the account so I didn't ever know. When bringing that to his attention he simply said "it would have been your parents responsibility to notify you of the inactive charges that could accrue." EXTREMELY disappointed with the service, no sympathy was given by any member at the office. All could have been solved by a simple letter or phone call that the account was inactive 2 years ago, but clearly they don't care. I have closed all accounts from Westmark and all associated family and friends that bank with them are doing so as well. If you are considering banking with them I'd highly recommend looking elsewhere. |
