kelly keaty | This was a wonderful day. I was awoken by my husband to go to the local office of AAMCO for an oil change for my 2014 Nissan. What an extraordinary experience that was. We will return very soon and keep returning here for all of our auto needs. They even do warranty work on most vehicles. We will go nowhere else. |
Nicole Alford | They charged us over 1800 to fix our transmission, and when we got our car back it was still doing the same thing and problem remained. We took it in and they added some sort of fluid to it and told us to put some miles on it and if lights came on, bring it back in. We brought it back in recently when the lights came on and off again and they tested the code. Said it was a different part of the transmission maybe, but no solid answer and said the transmission was many parts and it's probably another one going out. My question is, if the car wasn't fixed when we picked it up and for the whole year they have been shrugging us off and blaming the clutch, other part of transmission, etc. WHY Would you charge us if it clearly was not fixed? And then put us off for a year and then say it's our transmission again. It just does not add up and we are out the money and our car. We just want them to make it right, but have been treated really rudely and getting the run around. Currently in contact w BBB. |
Keith Sheldon | I am from out of the area and am planning to relocate here soon. I drove across the country from Florida in a high mileage 2003 Yukon. About half way here, a noise started to come from under the car - a high pitched whine that occurred in Park and increased with engine speed. A couple of other shops diagnosed it and nobody could figure out where the noise was coming from. I discovered there was an actual transmission shop nearby - AAMCO Newport and called them. They didn't put me off for more than a week like the other shops did - they diagnosed it that very day. They ordered a bearing set for the transmission, and installed it without delay. This was good, because I was planning to drive back to Florida within a few days. They test drove it and then parked it in their lot. But, the brake pedal went to the floor. The salt environment had corroded a brake line. They ordered a brake line kit and replaced all my old lines, which were all corroded and on the verge of failure one had failed previously but that shop only replaced the bad line. I could have been on the interstate when the brake failure occurred. I was so pleased that they recommended changing all the lines. Now I'm driving back to Florida with confidence. The car has given me good service and so has AAMCO Newport. When I'm settled here permanently, I plan to bring AAMCO all my service needs. I have the deepest belief that they are both skilled and honest, two qualities you don't find in every auto repair shop. Their manager Rick truly has your best interests in mind with all that he does. I'm glad I found AAMCO Newport. I feel that I don't need to look any further for my auto repair needs and will be a regular customer. Thank you AAMCO Newport for making things easy for me. I appreciate it. |
