BMO Harris Bank in Carol Stream, Illinois

Worst bank ever. Opened and online money market, to close it, you are required to send a letter and told it would take 7 days but it has taken three weeks so far. If you make one mistake when you enter your password, you are locked and are required to have a lengthy call with a manager and send a notarized letter. Their interest rate is not competitive at all. It feels they do anything possible to keep your money as long as possible. Not worth it for all the grievance they make you go through.

Worse online banking experience ever! Website does not offer any option of closing accounts. Correspondence over web is unhelpful, deferring to over the phone representative, and rep defer to mail written request. Do you all communicate with one another? Avoid this company at all cost!

I will NOT recommend this bank to anybody, my worst experience ever with a bank, got an auto loan thru them and the car was involved in a accident 3 months later that turned into a total loss not my fault on the accident btw they are really bad when it comes to working with you or having some sympathy after being in an accident, Covid 19 was and is going on, loss of the car drama and all they did is call us everyday and tell that “you need to make a payment, a payment is due or there will be late fees involved, i get it they were looking out for their best interest but come on, which we knew we had to pay the loan, we weren't trying to pull a fast one but still, not even trying to work us.
