First Virginia in Newport News, Virginia

This is in regards to the First Virginia on the corner of Denbigh and Warwick. The ladies at the Mercury Blvd address in Hampton are AWESOME!!! But this 1 star goes to the horrible team at the Denbigh/Warwick location. I was treated so bad by Ms. Pat that works there and the District Manager. At the end of September, I was told by a new staff who confirmed with a seasoned staff member that I could make my October payment early and re-borrow. Well, the next time I went in at the end of October, I was told by this same staff that my October payment was late basically that it had not been made and interest had been accrued, even though I had paid it in full already. Ms. Pat got involved in the conversation and that is when things took a turn for the worst. Why am I being penalized for something a staff member told me I could do!!! The District Manager was called and she said that the interest amount stood and that I had to pay it. I called the corporate office and they couldn't even do anything. Today I found out, that they charged an amount to my bank account by mistake and now they need to reimburse me. SMH!!! I have been a great customer!!! I'm never late with a payment, never have they had to call me. But this is how they treat me??? During such difficult times, kindness and good business practices go a long way but this location clearly does not know the meaning, nor do they display it. I will drive all the way to Hampton, even though I live near this location to do my business with the ladies at the Mercury location, before I EVER go back to the Denbigh/Warwick location!!!

Got a loan from them 2 years ago and they are still taking money out of my account. By all means do NOT get a loan from them!!!!

I Appreciate the services that that give and even told ppl to not park on the Handicap Zone, plz don't not , I appreciate that and along with others , but as the lady s that work , they have been so polite to me every time I go there, they Everyday People Like Us is still work hard to give everyone their fair share of their ability to work with others, thanks First Virginia

Everyone here is friendly and welcoming. They also understand that life happens and you may miss a payment. As long as you call to let them know what is going on and when you will be able to make a payment, you don't have to worry about them making harassing phone calls

Took out a loan for 650 ended paying over 1000. Do this only if you can payoff right away and last resort. Interest rates can go over 200!

Got a good ammount based on the income I had it done for my girlfriend and it was great no credit check for the line of credit and they even offer to raise it when paid on time and income is better so it's actually really good they didn't give us a problem with the documents we provided and the lady who saw us was very nice. Recommend for anyone who needs cash right now with less hassle than other places and no credit check if you go for the up to 1000 line of credit.
