Ana Temple | This is my opinion as a mother and business owner. After having this bank for 10-years, when it came down to more than just making deposits and withdrawals, they dropped the ball. I was applying through M&T for my employees Covid Payroll Protection Program. I had paid my employees throughout the crisis from my own pocket, to keep them employed, while my business has near zero income. I had issues understanding their online application, since I am not internet savvy and hoped for some help in understanding their specific web application format, but when finally submitted, I received a letter that they were unable to process them, because my business accounts were being closed! I have three employees that must be terminated, and their lives and families are now put into financial hardship because of this bank, regardless of my efforts to save their jobs. No reason was given why my accounts were being closed. I was positive in all accounts and not overdrawn. Their teller staff is exceptionally nice and helpful, but the higher you go up, to have an issue addressed, you will start to see a pattern. When I went to M&T management, their statement was “We are focusing on new customers now, not present ones”. Think about that mission statement from a consumer's point of view and how absurd it sounded to hear it; it was almost surreal. Is this the bank's mission as per Rene F Jones, the CEO of this bank? Does that means if you are a present customer, caveat emptor. If you are a potential customer, expect to be sold rays of sunshine and unicorns, until you need them to be an actual “bank”, then you will be driving to the competition, opening accounts somewhere else, as your business is placed into financial hardship and your employees lives are ruined in the process. As one famous actor said “Why take the risk”. With all these bad reviews I have seen online about this bank, I thought it would never happen to me. Live and learn because it did. |
Thomas James | Never have I ever been told good things about this company. I decided to tell family to bank with M and T only to find out that I was wrong. I should never place my money in these people hands. My account is restricted in this crisis and do you think they care how people will feed there family. And the Assistant manager is worthless and i feel she just a plain racist Donna Perceny was rude and unjust. Well I hope you get all you deserve and I hope someone has the sense to teach this bank and the manager a good lesson. Just plain rude and uncaring. I would give 3 zeros if I can. |
